Mike Liu, DO

Dr. Mike Liu is a neurologist board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). His expertise lies in epilepsy and general neurology, with a particular focus on evaluating and treating seizures. Additionally, Dr. Liu conducts electromyography tests to diagnose neuromuscular disorders like peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, radiculopathy, and carpal tunnel syndrome. His practice extends to various neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and headaches, providing a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Mike earned his degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University before pursuing his medical education at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his neurology residency at Larkin Health Systems in Miami, FL, where he also served as education chief resident. Following his residency, Dr. Liu pursued fellowship training in Epilepsy/Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Liu is deeply committed to medical education and serves as an assistant professor at TCU School of Medicine, where he finds joy in mentoring medical students.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his beloved German Shepherd, Chief, and Goldendoodle, Luka, exploring dog parks and trails. He also enjoys skiing, F45, traveling, and playing tennis or basketball.
