Jamie Walker Erwin, MD

Dr. Jamie Lin Walker Erwin is an obstetrician and gynecologist in Fort Worth.  She is a 2022 Fort Worth Magazine “Top Doctor.”

Dr. Erwin was raised in Fort Worth and is thrilled to be practicing medicine in her beloved hometown. A graduate of the University of Arkansas and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Erwin completed her residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham in 2012.

“Obstetrics and gynecology is a perfect and natural specialty choice for me because I love taking care of women,” Dr. Erwin says. “I also love the variety of clinic, surgery, deliveries and procedures. It is a tremendous privilege and honor to share in personal aspects of a woman’s life!”

Dr. Erwin has received numerous awards and honors: in 2008 she was awarded the Dallas Fort Worth OB/GYN Society Medical Student Award; in 2010, she received the UAB Argus Award for Best Teaching OB/GYN Resident. She is a life member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Erwin has been involved in medical missions from a young age, helping the underserved in countries such as Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador and India. “Medical missions have been an integral part of my life and a big reason why I chose the field of medicine,” she said.

An accomplished athlete, Dr. Erwin was the 1998 Davey O’Brien High School Scholar Athlete award winner and in college, she was an NCAA Division 1 Track and Field All-American in the heptathlon. Dr. Erwin now enjoys yoga, pilates and running along Fort Worth’s Trinity Trails with her dog, Lucy. Other interests include fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast, cooking, and spending time with family.

Dr. Erwin is married to Charlie Erwin, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, who served two tours in Iraq. Mr. Erwin is now a civil engineer at Freese & Nichols in Fort Worth. The Erwins have a young daughter, Georgia Louise.
